Utah – Here I Come!
I’ve lived in New England my entire life and for the past 41 years, New Hampshire. Five years ago, husband Rick and myself began the adventure of touring the countryside in our home made camper van. We’ve made amazing friendships, seen breathtaking landscapes and had wonderful adventures. For two years, we have lived in a tiny “base camp” apartment in Manchester, while going back on the road for a few months at a time.
Last fall something happened we were not expecting – we discovered Cedar City, Utah, and decided to make it our new home. Next week we begin the journey with a U-Haul truck and camper van to start a new life.
Changing locations for my various businesses is actually easy. I speak and conduct retreats across the country and will continue doing that from my new home. What was hard was to figure what to do with my beloved membership organization, In the Presence of Positive Women.
Although we have members from across the country, the basic group lives in New England. We’ve been known in the region for over 19 years and I felt I needed to find someone local to take the reigns or put it to bed.
Could I find someone organized, with a good business sense, that is fun to be with and of course, positive? Someone who my members could look to for leadership and encouragement, who had what it takes to run a successful membership?
Well, I found her and she was right in my back yard! I have known her for almost 30 years, loved her common sense approach to life and her wonderful sense of humor. Olivette Aviso has agreed to take over our group and I couldn’t be happier. You will be hearing about all the new ideas she has soon, but for now, if you wish to say Hello – her contact information is Olivette@IPPW.org or 603-244-9028
This is why I have come to know, you must say “Goodbye” to something you love, to be able to say “Hello” to new possibilities.
I’m still continuing my presentations and networking events (and will be back in late October for three different events. You can’t get rid of me completely.)
But my new “Hello” came without warning. I’ll be launching a new business venture with two very dear friends this fall. This enterprise will be nothing like I’ve ever done, but it appears God was “setting all of us up” for a major collaboration that has the potential to be global. I’ll keep you posted when everything is in place.
Between the move, new home and new company – my plate has been pretty full lately. I am planning to take the month of August off to “nest” – to get my new digs in order. But I am always available through emails and phone. And yes, I’ll be doing “Skype” sessions – something I’ve avoided but now welcome into my life. but now find a necessary tool to do business.
Wish me luck as I tackle the west. Goodbye for the moment New Hampshire. Hello Utah!
