A Message of Hope, Courage and Healing. Event is FREE and open to the public.
The story – amazing. The outcome – thought provoking. The knowledge Ingrid Dinter brings to the table on the topic – astounding.
Acknowledging and reintegrating Veterans will help us all thrive.
“When 25 year old Egon Hafner came back from 3 years in a Russian forced labor camp, his world had changed forever.” Today, his daughter, Ingrid, tells the story of how she and her family coped with the ordeal of his trauma, and how military trauma impacts all of us today. “Many people put “Hero” and “PTSD” into one sentence when they talk about Veterans.” she says.
We are well meaning by acknowledging military trauma and combat trauma are very real. But while acknowledging the price that veterans pay for their service is important, we also need to find respectful and appropriate ways to reintegrate them into the work force and our communities.
Our veterans have so much to offer to communities and employees, that supporting them when they leave the service is not only right, it is also smart.
If you have anyone in your family, circle of friends or are a veteran yourself, come hear this Award Winning presentation and learn not only the impact war trauma has on all of us, but what we can do to help Veterans and their families heal.
